Anchor.fm

I have a weird voice.

I came to this realisation a while ago. It is at the forefront of my mind because of an app called Anchor. 

I found it on the recommendation of Myke Hurley, co-founder of Relay.fm, my favourite podcast channel.

The premise of Anchor is straightforward; I can record and broadcast my thoughts, simply by speaking into my phone. So I have.

Should you be at a very loose end and wish to hear it, then download the free Anchor app onto your smart phone thing of choice and look for 'Pocket Notebooks'. 

There, you will find short recordings, or possibly episodes (a series of short recordings) or maybe even a podcast, which I assume is a series of episodes. I am not being fashionably vague, I haven't quite sussed how it all works as yet.

As I write, I have managed to successfully record two episodes, including one which included a question posed by TJ Cosgrove and my answer to it.

The premise of the 'show' is to provide a glimpse behind the scenes at PoNo Towers in bite-size chunks. Either a virtue, or a fault, depending on your point of view, is that I am very straightforward. Ask me a question, and I will answer it - so if there is anything that you would like to know - get onto to Anchor.fm, find the Pocket Notebooks channel and fire away.

As I learn about the app, I'll work out how best to segment the answers into episodes and podcasts - and who knows, we might end up with an oral history of 2018 at PoNo.
