First Quarter

Spring Flower

April is drawing to an end. Easter has been and gone. Winter went, then returned, went again, returned again and now finally seems banished. Pocketnotebooks became Nero’s Notes, Stuart revised his planning system at least twice and found another way to hear his own voice - on 1857.

The Trigg Life-Mapper was a big hit and Nomad notes took off like a scalded cat.

We continue to work the website, focused on improved navigation and imagery. Its been a learning experience for Clare and Stuart, but both can now open Adobe without actually breaking anything. There’s still a way to go, but we’re getting there.

If you know what you are looking for on the site, then the easiest way to find it is using the search bar. If however, you fancy a little browse, then the menus and filters are worth exploring.

We now carry much more graphite (with more to come), with brands from all over the world. While we do have some pens, we are not going to leap headlong into the pen market, which is a massive undertaking on its own.

Our subscription model has changed. We now offer three quarterly ones, each focused differently. One on Pocket, one at Desk and one wildcard, Nero’s Subscription. We are very excited to have partnered with Enon Avital at Dapper Notes to offer a UK/European extension of his subscription service, the Bookhead Club.

The Spring releases from the States were awesome. Field Notes Coastal has been a huge hit. Sakura from Write Notepads is a stunning edition. The Blackwing 54, ‘Exquisite Corpse’ is a surreal smash. So taken are we with Blackwing, that we have extended our offering. We now have paper and graphite under the brands, Blackwing, Palomino and Forest Choice. We are proud to carry the most extensive Blackwing range in the UK.

We continue to invest heavily in the business, and its been a tough quarter, but Stuart, Clare and Nero thank all of our customers for their continued support. We love you all.
